Communications Committee: This committee serves as an editorial board for publications of the College (excluding the Journal). There are monthly opportunities to contribute through the eBulletin and sporadic opportunities with regards to various other publications, including white papers, but the overall time commitment is fairly small and consistent.
Emil Gumpert Committee: This active committee recommends to the US Foundation a worthy recipient of an annual $150,000 award, given to programs whose principal pur- pose is to maintain and improve the administration of justice. The time commitment is very cyclical – heavy in the fall as applicants are considered, but minimal in the spring and summer.
Special Problems in the Administration of Justice Committee (U.S.): This committee focuses on recommendations to improve the administration of justice and acts as a liaison with others to that end. Recent projects have provided efforts on behalf of US veterans, including Project One Vet @ a Time (POVAT). Vet- erans in the College are encouraged to join this committee.
The College is now working on committee appointments for the 2024- 2025 term, which begin in early October at the conclusion of the Annu- al Meeting. Visit www.actl.com/getinvolved to learn more. From there, you can fill out our online Get Involved form and we will work to get you appointed to one of the committees that interests you.
Your unique skills and areas of interest can greatly contribute to fur- thering the mission of the College. We encourage you to join us on a committee! Please reach out to Amy Mrugalski, amrugalski@actl.com with any questions.
