FELLOWS TO THE BENCH
DWIGHT E. TARWATER took the bench as the newest justice
on the Tennessee Supreme Court on September 1, 2023. Justice Tarwater served as general counsel to former Tennessee Governor
Bill Haslam from 2014 to 2019, and handled complex litigation at Paine, Tarwater and Bickers, LLP. Inducted into the College in 2006, Justice Tarwater was a member of the Tennessee State Committee until his appointment to the bench.
SARAH INNESS was appointed to the Court of Kings Bench in Manitoba in August 2023. Justice Inness was born in England and moved to Canada as a child, growing up in Winnipeg. After being called to the Manitoba Bar in 1999, she became a founding lawyer at Campbell Gunn Inness Seib Jones and had been a defence lawyer her entire career. Justice Inness received the Designation of King’s Counsel in 2023 and was inducted into the College in 2022.
